Omari Mosque in Ghaza
The mosque is located in the downtown of Gaza beside Sūq al-Khudār (Vegetables) street, adjacent to a Qaisāriyā. The mosque covers an area about 4100m2, from which 1190m2 as an open courtyard.
The central part of the mosque is the basilica cathedral with its Romanesque cruciform piers.
In the Ottoman period, a three compartment’s riwāq was added.
